Course Description: Photoshop 7 Photo Editing - Judy Gardner
In this advanced-level computer course, students will further explore the possibilities of Photoshop by becoming familiar with options available to them and continuing to hone their digital skills. Tutorials and exercises are included in the course.
This course is designed for the intermediate user with complete familiarity of the tools and their locations. If you do not meet this requirement, I recommend taking Visual Arts Academy Photoshop Basics course prior to enrolling in this class.
Materials required: Computer, Adobe® Photoshop 7, sense of humor.. :O)
Performance Objectives:
Lessons will include:
Black and white photo restoration
Replacing corners and edges
Colorization
How to choose your colors
Cloning to replace small areas
Removing red-eye
Changing and/or adjusting eye color
Removing wrinkles, blemishes and age spots
Creating a great photo from 2 or more mediocre photos
Merging backgrounds
Correcting color and contrast
Removing unwanted objects and/or parts of backgrounds
Sketch and masking effects
Lighting effects for correction and variation
Using shadows and shading
Extensive use of the Healing Tool

Topical Outline:
Week 1 - Photo Restoration
Week 2 - Hand coloring a black and white photo
Week 3 - Backgrounds, creating and enhancing
Week 4 - Special effects
Week 5 - Correcting, colors and lighting
Week 6 - Photo fixes, red eye, blemishes and other
unwanteds.
Week 7 - Wrap-up and review.
